COVID Safety

Florida Writers recognizes the concerns about COVID and staying safe at the conference. We are doing our part to help. Here are our mitigation strategies:

1. All volunteers will be wearing masks.
2. There will be disposable masks at the registration desk, in the bookstore, in the interview area, and elsewhere around the venue.
3. There will be hand sanitizer in the same locations with the masks.
4. Chairs will be spaced out with no more than 6 per table rather than the normal 10. If a group of 8 wants to sit together at meals, we will make arrangements for this exception.
5. Hotel staff will be wearing masks.

7. Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs will provide all guests with a list of area locations where you may seek medical treatment or go for COVID testing should you wish to do so.
8. Conference name badges will be printed with large font for first names so you can easily identify other attendees without getting close.

We encourage everyone to stay safe, observe social distancing, and wear a mask.
