Florida Writers Publishing

The Florida Writers Association offers a variety of publishing opportunities to members: a book, a magazine, and a blog. These avenues encourage members to reach out and grow an appreciative audience for their writing.

Florida Writers Association Collection

Since 2009, FWA has showcased member writing by publishing an annual anthology.

The 2025 Florida Writers Association Collection, Volume 17 theme is New Directions/New Dimensions.

Our 2025 theme asks you to take that road not taken, to go boldly where no one has gone before, and let your writing soar from the mundane to the sublime. This theme is open to a range of possibilities, so it’s with high expectations that we invite our members to submit their best fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry.

  • Submissions open February 1 – April 30 (or until capacity is reached)
  • Fiction and creative nonfiction entries: 850 minimum – 1400 maximum words (NextGen minimum word count: 650)
  • Poems must be 50 lines or less
  • Submission is free and exclusive to FWA members active through October 31, 2025
  • Approximately 50 adult and 10 NextGen submissions will be selected for publication in the Collection, Volume 17 book which will be included in the welcome packet at our 2025 conference and available on Amazon for purchase.
  • Feedback is not offered

Submission requirements & entry forms will be available soon.

A group of writing professionals will select only the best submissions for publication. I encourage all our adult and youth members to let their imaginations take flight and shine a light on people, places, and things the world has yet to see! —Paul Iasevoli, 2025 Collection 17 Executive Editor
