This workshop is for authors considering self-publishing. We’ll discuss the difference between traditional and self-publishing and the advantages/disadvantages of each. Participants will learn the importance of setting up a business before publication and the free resources available to them. We'll cover the steps from story to layout, illustrations, publishing and distribution, how to keep the rights to your book to use multiple publishing services, and discuss marketing and promoting your book.

No Drawing Required: Create illustrations without AI
This workshop offers my insights in using DAZ3D, a non-AI-based computer illustration program, to create illustrations and book covers. DAZ3D is a free program that can create photorealistic artwork. The advantages of using DAZ are that authors without any drawing skills can create commercial-quality art, and the cost to create this artwork is much less than hiring a commercial artist.
